Lexar at Lunch at Piero'sIf you like shiny bright objects in your performance PC, look no further as Jim Jardine, senior product manager at Crucial.com gave reporters a hands-on look at the latest bling for your RAM at the Lunch at Piero’s media and innovator event durig CES.  In red, green or blue or a combination of the three, a twinkling module indicates the performance of the RAM in your PC.   The company also announced  the latest addition to the Crucual SSD product families – the fasted SSD in the world available in February, a fitting followup to last year’s Shake-O-Matic demonstration, which proved that you can play perfect HD video from a Crucial SSD drive undergoing the tortures of a paint shaker.

Eye-Fi memory uploads your pix and videos wirelessly

Eye-Fi at Lunch at Piero'sYou get back to your room at the end of the day at CES.  You want to upload your pictures and videos to Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, YouTube.  You dig around for your USB cable – can’t find it, left it back home, what a drag.  Too bad because if you had shot onto Eye-Fi, the world’s first wireless memory cards for digital cameras, you could have uploaded your pictures instantly to one of 25 web sites or to your computer.  Watch this demo at Lunch at Piero’s during CES 2010.  Dontcha just love it?  Specially if you’re a journalist on deadline.

Western Digital at Lunch at Piero'sThey look like candy and the fit in the palm of your hand, but make no mistake, the new Passport drives from Western Digital can hold a whopping Terabyte of data.  WD showed several lines of drives at Lunch at Piero’s including the newest My Book 3.0 that comes with a fast USB 3.0 controller card for transferring data three to four times faster.  New desktop external hard drives and the tiny WD TV Live drive that lets you see HD TV on your big screen rounded out the company’s presentation.
