ZonbuZonbu was in full glory at Lunch@Piero’s during CES 2008 with the Zonbu Mini PC perched atop the grand piano for the press to see. The Zonbu Mini PC offers a low entry point of $99 plus monthly service. The compact, ultra low power mini with all the bells and whistles took up only about as much space as a wireless router. Based on the VIA C7-M processor the Zonbu Mini PC eliminiates the need for noisy fans and disk drives, and it’s completely silent, and with no moving parts, Zonbu is rugged. It works right out of the box, connecting with DSL or cable Internet, using all those productivity and multimedia applications without the hassles of maintaining them.

Zonbu also demo’d the Zonbu Notebook, a 15.4″ widescreen laptop is only $279 plus service for work offline or connects to any Wi-Fi hotspot, the 60GB hard-drive stores all your data and backs it up automatically when it’s connected to the Internet. Nice for people who forget to back up their work.

The monthly service fopr $14.95 per month fully manages the system, upgrades for free with the latest applications and offers full support. You synchronize with an internet server to gain access to a private web space that stores all of your files. So, whether you’re across town or across an ocean, all you need in order to access your stored files is a computer with an Internet connection. With the Zonbu you’ll never be without your word-processing files, photos, business presentations, or music library again.
